About me

Hi, I'm Katie.

After years of accidentally killing houseplants, I approached the idea of using nature to decorate my home from a different angle. I now make romantic and lasting butterfly centerpieces, and each display is a conversation piece.

Each work is handmade by me.

With every handcrafted piece, I aim to encapsulate a snapshot of time—an invitation to pause and appreciate the transient beauty that surrounds us. My hope is that each centerpiece resonates with the viewer, evoking a sense of nostalgia and wonder, and fostering a deeper connection to the delicate tapestry of existence.  

All specimens I use have been responsibly sourced from farms and butterfly sanctuaries all over the world. I feel very lucky to be able to create and disseminate a new form of art that combines my love of art with my love of the environment.

SHIPPING | DELIVERY OPTIONS

I ship domestically (USA), using the United States Postal Service, Priority Express. If you would prefer to pickup locally for free, or opt for Local Delivery, that'll save you the cost of shipping!

If you'll be traveling by plane with your piece, I strongly recommend bringing it as a carry-on item if flying. Each piece is built to be safe for travel; planes, trains, automobiles, bikes, hikes, subways, etc.

Additionally, if you have your own shipping account with a better shipping rate, I'm happy to work with you to save that $$. Just send me a message before purchase so we can work it out.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Do not drop or shake vigorously. Best to keep out of direct sunlight, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Spot clean with glass cleaner and/or dust gently as needed.

PLEASE NOTE: Once this piece has arrived at its destination it has the potential to last indefinitely. Keep away from directly sunlight, and don't get it wet. Shipping it safely is the tricky part! Due to its delicate nature, this piece must be shipped for next-day delivery (1-2 day delivery according to the USPS).

Recipient should be available to sign for package on first delivery attempt. Flutter by Katie is not liable for damage sustained in prolonged transit. Please contact me with any questions.
